Chroma Type 301 #800 Whetstone

Chroma Type 301 knives are fabulous in their revolutionary design and the sharpness of their Japanese steel blades. To protect your investment in this cutlery, sharpen the blades only with a Chroma Type 301 Whetstone. The rectangular 800-grit ceramic "stone" rests on a raised base for ease of use, which the included instructions illustrate. Basically, each side of the blade is held at a 15 to 20 degree angle during sharpening. Since each person has his or her own feel for motion and angle, it helps if the same person sharpens the knife each time. While professional chefs sharpen their knives almost daily, the home hobby chef probably only needs to sharpen a Chroma knife once every six months.
