Globe Scientific Hotplate Stirrer, Digital, 550C Maximum Temperature, 7 x 7 inch glass ceramictop plate, 100-120v, 50-60Hz

The GHS-550 group of Hotplates, Magnetic Stirrers and Magnetic Stirrer Hotplates offer safety and precision for laboratory heating and mixing applications. The compact and low-profile design saves valuable benchtop space and a 7-inch chemical resistant glass ceramic working surface ensure years of service and easy cleanup. Setting the heat and stirring speed is extremely intuitive with an LED display and control knobs, inputting to a microprocessor-controlled circuit for accurate, stable control of heating and stirring.   The GHS-550HSP model replaces the LED with an LCD display for precise monitoring of speed and temperature.  This hot plate magnetic stirrer also includes a built-in PID temperature control heating with overheating protection. A RS232 port offers remote function for communication, PC control and data transmission (software not included). The Magnetic Stirrer and Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer are designed to provide a strong magnetic coupling for powerful mixing that is enabled by the maintenance free brushless DC motor.  The stirrers can mix up to 10 liters of water (GHS-550HS, GHS-550S) or 20 liters of water (GHS-550HSP), which allows for excellent homogeneity of your solution.  The Hotplate and Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer models are designed with a powerful 1000-watt heater that provides temperatures up to 550°C.  To gain even more accurate temperature control within 0.2°C, an optional PT1000 sensor and retort stand are available to measure directly in the vessel.  A “hot” warning will flash if the work plate temperature is above 50°C. Overtemperature protection is included should temperatures reach 580°C.   Simple, intuitive operation Maintenance-free brushless DC motor Small footprint saves valuable bench space Powerful 1000W heater Easy-to-clean glass ceramic surface Easy-to-read LCD or LED display for simple, clear control Powerful magnetic coupling for stirring up to 20L Optional external temperature sensor control TYPE Hotplate-Stirrer Hotplate-Stirrer Hotplate Stirrer Model GHS-550HSP GHS-550HS GHS-550H GHS-550S Display Type LCD LED LED - Working Area 184mm W x 184mm D (7 x 7") Working Area Material Glass Ceramic Heating Power 1000W 1000W 1000W   Temperature Range Ambient +5°C to 550°C Ambient +5°C to 550°C Ambient +5°C to 550°C   Temperature Accuracy ±1 °C (<100°C) ±1%(>100°C) ±10°C ±10°C   Max Stir Volume 20L 10L - 10L Stirring Speed Range 100-1500rpm, 0-1500rpm - 0-1500rpm Stir Bar Length 80mm (3.15") 80mm (3.15") - 80mm (3.15") RS232 Port Yes - - - Voltage 100-120v 60Hz or 200-240v 50Hz Power 1050W 1030W 1010W 30W Dimensions 215x360x108mm (8.5x14.2x4.3") Weight 5.3kg / 11.7lbs 4.5kg / 9.9lbs 4.5kg / 9.9lbs 3.8kg / 8.4lbs Operating Temp 5-40°C Permissible Relative Humidity 80%RH (non-condensing)
