Byzantine Rose Station Bracelet (Sterling Silver)

Byzantine Rose Station Bracelet Solid Sterling Silver Dimensions: Each rosette link is 3/8″ wide x 9/16″ high and forms a 7 1/2″ bracelet. Gallery Byzantium’s Byzantine Rose station bracelet features two different rosette designs which are woven throughout the carved marble slabs adorning the iconostas and walls of Hosios Loukas Monastery, an architectural masterpiece of Middle Byzantine art and architecture surviving from the early 11th century in Phokis, Greece. The ornamental rosette derives from the natural shape of the botanical rosette formed by leaves radiating out from the stem of a plant and visible even after the flower has withered. In architecture and decorative art, ornament is a decoration used to embellish parts of a building or object. Read here for further information on Hosios Loukas.
