Breakaway Loops

While rope halters are a convenient, comfortable, and effective way to handle and train your horse, accidents can happen. Adding a Breakaway Loop to your Do Or Do Knot® Rope Halter (sold separately) gives you extra peace of mind if using your halter in a situation in which your horse might get stuck or injured. ​ These weatherproof leather strips are designed to attach to the halter’s loop and provide easy attachment for the halter’s snap. A Chicago screw holds the Breakaway Loop in place. The leather has a breaking point of 125lbs; should the unthinkable happen, the leather is designed to tear, allowing your horse to break free. Breakaway Loops can be used with the following crownpiece styles: Standard Do Or Do Knot® Rope Halter w/ stainless steel snap Snap Only Do Or Do Knot® Rope Halter w/ stainless steel snap *A traditional tied crownpiece (no snap) will NOT fit. Do Or Do Knot® Rope Halters sold separately. You can choose to have your Breakaway Loop(s) in a package with instructions, or attached directly to your halter. If you order a Pack of 3 Breakaway Loops but only 1 or 2 halters, the remaining Breakaway Loop(s) will be included in a package with instructions. Color of Breakaway Loops may vary.
