Button Hopper

Stone Creek™ Button Hopper The Stone Creek™ Button Hopper is a dependable terrestrial dry fly designed to imitate grasshoppers and other large insects that trout actively target during the warm summer months. Featuring a buoyant profile and highly visible design, this pattern rides high on the water and remains easy to track, even in riffles, seams, and broken currents. Built to imitate the large terrestrial insects that frequently fall into rivers and streams, the Button Hopper excels along grassy banks, meadow streams, undercut banks, and shoreline structure where trout are conditioned to look for an easy meal. Its realistic hopper silhouette and excellent flotation make it an outstanding searching pattern during hopper season and a highly effective dry-dropper fly capable of supporting nymphs beneath it. Whether you're targeting trout on freestone rivers, mountain streams, or meadow waters, the Button Hopper is a proven producer when fish are feeding near the surface. Features: • Realistic hopper-style profile • High-floating terrestrial dry fly • Excellent visibility on the water • Ideal for summer trout fishing • Effective searching and attractor pattern • Great dry-dropper indicator fly • Performs well along banks, seams, riffles, and pocket water • Durable construction for repeated use Imitates: • Grasshoppers • Terrestrial Insects • Large Attractor Insects • Surface Food Sources Available Sizes: • #8 • #10 • #12 • #14 Fishing Tips: Fish tight to grassy banks, cutbanks, seams, pocket water, and shoreline structure with a natural drag-free drift.
