Each summer, this bush will bloom a plethora of pretty pointed flowering spikes packed full of fragrant little florets. Blooming in shades of pink, purple, and white so you'll never have to pick just one color again! Talk about a dream come true! Butterfly bushes are relatively easy to grow. Especially when you follow these simple instructions: When picking out a planting site, look for somewhere in full sun with well-drained soil. This will ensure your shrub is happy off the bat! You'll want to water well during the first year to help it get established. Then after that go ahead and cut back on the watering to a normal amount. Mulching around the root system will help regulate temperatures and conserve water. Buddleia is a woody shrub in warmer areas but acts much more like Perennials in colder climates. You'll want to cut back all stems in late winter before the growing season starts. This helps the plant develop new fresh growth from down low. Plus, if you deadhead the shrub throughout its blooming season, it'll encourage the plant to produce new flowers and continue blooming. The cherry on top is that Butterfly Magic™ is often left alone by deer and other wildlife. So your occasional wandering deer will more than likely leave this shrub be! Full Sun Shrub/Perennial Must Have Well-Drained Soil Moderate to Low Moisture Needs Once Established Appreciates Mulch & Deadheading Easy to Care For & Deer Resistant This unique plant is shipped as a grouping of three different colors all grown together, but all three colors may not persist if all three are not cut back each spring allowing all an equal start in the spring.
