Burnt Weeny Sandwich Cassette

In honor of Burnt Weeny Sandwich's 55th anniversary, we present sealed cassettes from back in the original Barking Pumpkin Barfko-Swill days.  Of this 60-piece minty fresh tape array, 24 have tiny, drilled holes signifying that they are promotional copies.     These are the last of their kind, found stored still in their original folding cardboard boxes where they were placed directly after manufacturing. Burnt Weeny Sandwich is a collection of Mothers Of Invention recordings compiled (by Frank Zappa) shortly after the dissolution late ‘60s iteration of the band.   The “meat” of this album is innovative instrumental jazz fusion compositions while the first and last tracks make the sandwich “bread” out of doo-wop cover songs – a singularly Zappa recipe. Tracklist: A1. WPLJ A2. Igor’s Boogie, Phase One A3. Overture To A Holiday In Berlin A4. Theme From Burnt Weeny Sandwich A5. Igor’s Boogie, Phase Two A6. Holiday In Berlin, Full Blown A7.
