Zi Juan Burgundy Congou Black Tea

Burgundy Congou Tea is a sophisticated Chinese black tea celebrated for its deep, rich flavor and smooth finish. Originating from the high-elevation tea gardens of Fujian Province, this tea is meticulously crafted using the traditional Congou method, which involves rolling the tea leaves into fine, tight strips to enhance their flavor and aroma. The term “Congou” itself refers to the high level of skill required to produce this tea, and “Burgundy” hints at the tea’s deep, wine-like character. The flavor profile of Burgundy Congou Tea is remarkably full-bodied, with notes of malt, dark chocolate, and subtle hints of dried fruit. This tea has a velvety texture and a slightly sweet, lingering aftertaste that makes it a delightful choice for those who enjoy robust, complex black teas. It is well-suited for multiple infusions, each offering a new depth of flavor. Burgundy Congou Tea is rich in antioxidants and offers several health benefits, including supporting cardiovascular health, improving digestion, and providing a gentle energy boost. Steeped at 195-205°F (90-96°C) for 3-5 minutes, this tea is perfect for both quiet reflection and sharing with others, making it a versatile and indulgent addition to any tea collection.
