12′ Bunk Feeder | Heavy-Duty Steel Cattle Feeding Solution by Sioux Steel

Overview Why the 12′ Bunk Feeder Is the Heavy-Duty Choice for Your Herd When you’re running a medium to large ranch or farm, you need feeding gear that doesn’t just survive — it thrives. That’s exactly what this 12′ bunk feeder delivers. Built to haul serious feed, resist weather, minimize waste, and keep animals safe, this is a bunk feeder that works hard so you don’t have to. At its core, this is a metal bunk feeder made for tough conditions. Massive capacity (up to one ton of feed) means fewer “fill-ups” and more time focusing on other work. With 14 feeding openings spread across 12 feet, several cattle can eat simultaneously without crowding or fighting over feed. That’s important when you’re feeding bigger herds; you want flow, you want fairness, and you want efficiency. Strength is real here. 16-gauge steel tubing (50,000 psi) paired with an 18-gauge steel liner gives this feeder rugged durability. It’s not just built — it’s built to last. The powder-coated “Prairie Gold” finish resists rusting, even in harsh, wet, or humid environments. Rounded skid legs protect animals and avoid sharp edges that can injure livestock; rolled lips help keep feed from piling up and spoiling. That makes it a great cattle bunk feeder for mixed or large livestock operations. Another big win: it arrives fully assembled. No fuss, no extra labor putting pieces together — just place it where you want, hook up feed delivery or wagon, and feed. The optional hay rack gives versatility; if you mix hay and grain or rotate feed types, that feature makes life easier. Because this cattle bunk feeder is long, you get better spacing between animals at the feeder, reducing stress, lowering feed waste from spillover or smothered feed, and improving overall herd performance. If feed is more accessible, animals eat more readily, which means fewer picky eaters and less leftover feed to clean up or discard. From a cost standpoint, the savings add up. Less feed wasted, lower labor for refills, less replacement of feeders, less repair, and fewer injuries mean you’re getting a strong return on your investment. For anyone managing beef cattle, dairy, or mixed herds in pastures, feedlots or barns, this is the kind of bunk feeder that supports profitability. In short: if you want a feeder that’s high-capacity, low maintenance, safe for livestock, and built tough, this 12′ bunk feeder is the smart backbone of a feeding system. It’s not just gear — it’s an asset for your ranch or farm.
