Lamb's Wool (Odor Guard)

Bunhead's Spun Silver Lamb's Wool The BEST guard against shoe odors with perfect cushion and comfort! Spun Silver Lamb's Wool is especially treated to combat odor and moisture in pointe shoes. The ball of wool is easy to tear and wrap around toes to provide just the right amount of protection for any hot spots while on pointe. Treated with SmartSilver™, the wool releases low levels of silver ions that prevent the growth of microbes that cause odors and material degradation.  100% Wool 1 oz. tub Non-toxic and hypoallergenic SmartSilver™ Key Benefits SmartSilver™ uses silver nanoparticles to provide permanent antimicrobial protection by releasing low levels of silver ions in the presence of moisture.  This prevents the growth of  odor-causing microbes. Permanent protection: SmartSilver nanoparticles are permanently bonded to the lamb's wool to offer long-lasting anti-odor and anti-microbial properties without washing out. Releases silver ions: When moisture is present (sweat), the nanoparticles release a low concentration of silver ions. Antimicrobial: The released silver ions disrupts the microbes ability to respire, replicate, and build cell walls - effectively killing bacteria and prevents the growth of odor-causing microorganisms. Prevents degradation: By inhibiting microbial growth, the technology prevents the pointe shoe materials from degrading over time. Broad-spectrum activity: The technology is effective against a wide range of bacteria and fungi. Long-lasting freshness: It keeps pointe shoes smelling fresh for longer. Safety: SmartSilver is engineered to be safe for contact and non-toxic.
