About the piece Solid Bumblebee Jasper stone specimen measuring 7" in diameter with brilliant yellow striations and banded patterns of white, beige and black. Bumblebee Jasper is mined in Indonesia from a volcanically active mountain that is more famous for the blue sulfur flames that burn there than this rare and unusual stone. When tested, the grey and white areas of Bumblebee jasper are found to be Calcium Carbonate, the black areas caused by Pyrite inclusions and the yellow/orange areas are colored by Realgar – Arsenic Sulfide. Due to its scarcity and how dangerous it is to collect, Bumblebee Jasper is difficult to find in large quantity such as this.
