Building Serial Number Sign

Ensure your building is properly identified with a durable Building Serial Number Sign. Designed for NYC buildings and facilities, this sign helps clearly display the building's assigned serial number for identification, maintenance, inspections, and regulatory purposes while providing a professional, long-lasting solution.  What This Sign is For: A Building Serial Number Sign identifies a building or a specific building system using its assigned serial number. These signs help maintenance personnel, inspectors, emergency responders, and building management accurately identify the correct structure, system, or asset during inspections, service calls, compliance reviews, and emergency situations. Clear identification reduces confusion and improves operational efficiency.  Legal Requirement Explained: While there is no single universal federal or NYC code that requires a "Building Serial Number" sign in every building, identification signage is commonly required or specified by building owners, government agencies, manufacturers, insurance providers, and project specifications for asset identification, maintenance tracking, and inspection purposes. Depending on the building type or installation, a serial number sign may be required as part of: - Building asset management programs - Equipment identification standards - Construction project specifications - Facility maintenance documentation - Government or institutional property identification requirements - Fire protection or mechanical system labeling requirements when specified by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) Proper identification helps ensure building systems and assets can be quickly located, inspected, serviced, and documented throughout their lifecycle.
