Build Up Protocol

If you are looking to reshape the microbiome, you are in the right place. Build Up targets the key bacteria involved in a healthy gut microbiome. If you are looking for long-term help with gas and bloating, skin issues, and metabolic health, then Build-Up is the protocol for you!* Gut Health is the Foundation for the Health of Your Whole Body With gut health comes the freedom to live life again. Build-Up Protocol – 120 days or Long-Term Gut health goes well beyond increasing a few select strains of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. The hallmark of a healthy gut is diversity. Research reveals that this one simple metric can determine numerous health outcomes. Interestingly, a handful of keystone species can help boost diversity in the gut microbiome. This protocol will help elevate your keystone species for greater diversity among gut microbes.* A healthy gut is important for: Skin health* Histamine balance* Immune balance* Enzyme production* Healthy cholesterol levels* Metabolic health* Emotional wellbeing* Leptin and insulin sensitivity* Allergy and asthma issues* How We Address Build-up: Silver Fern Brand’s Build-up protocol focuses on using three different products to help improve the balance and diversity of your microbiome, while also strengthening and improving your gut barrier function.* Ultimate Probiotic Silver Fern™ Brand’s Ultimate Probiotic was formulated by a microbiologist who pioneered an entirely new category of probiotics:  spore-based probiotics! This was a break from the trend of traditional Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria species, which can die off in the stomach before reaching the colon. The Bacillus strains used in Ultimate Probiotic have a spore coating that protects the probiotic from harsh stomach acids and other digestive conditions. Plus, we added a beneficial probiotic yeast, which may fight against other harmful yeasts in the gut. We call Ultimate Probiotic the "gut gardener" because it helps manage the environment of the microbiome in the gut like a gardener would.* Ultimate Probiotic may help: Increase diversity of beneficial bacteria* Push out harmful bacteria* Strengthen the gut barrier * Increase digestive enzyme production to help with digestion and absorption of essential nutrients* Targeted Prebiotic (XOS, citrus bioflavonoids, apple extract  The purpose of Targeted Prebiotic is to feed beneficial bacteria in the gut that cannot be taken directly as a supplement. This product can rapidly help feed and the composition of the gut microbiome. Most prebiotic fibers feed all the bacteria in the gut, good and bad. Targeted Prebiotic, however, selectively feeds the beneficial microbial populations.*  Targeted Prebiotic may help: Increase multiple beneficial bacteria species such as Bifidobacterium, lactobacillus and Akkermansia* Increase short-chain fatty acids, especially butyrate* Balance the microbiome and reduce pathogen load* Support normal immune responses* Sensitive Gut Fiber (galactomannan, baobab acacia) While Sensitive Gut Fiber was designed to help with constipation and diarrhea issues, it turned out to be much more than that. * This low FODMAP prebiotic supplement can also help: Increase Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus, and F. prausnitzii species* Increase Akkermansia, Christensella, Prevotella, Lachnospira and Ruminococca species* Increase short-chain fatty acids, especially butyrate* Support bowel regularity* Supports normal immune responses* Build-Up Protocol 120-Day Healthy Gut Restoration Process* (Long-Term Gut Health) ULTIMATE PROBIOTIC (1 bottle/month) 2 capsules per day, taken with food Week 1: 1 capsule per day Week 2+: 2 capsules per day TARGETED PREBIOTIC (1 bottle/month) 3 capsules per day, taken with Ultimate Probiotic SENSITIVE GUT FIBER (1 bottle/month) 1 scoop per day, taken with Ultimate Probiotic What Bacterium Types Do You Want to Increase? Pairing the right probiotics with the right prebiotics can lead to a comprehensive restructuring of the gut microbiome. This approach enhances microbial diversity and boosts keystone strains that manage the gut microbiome. Most gut health protocols target one or two important strains of Lactobacillus or Bifidobacteria. Our approach is different!*  The Build-Up protocol can help restore many keystone species, such as: Akkermansia* Prevotella* Prausnitzii* Christensella* Ruminococca* These species are important for weight management, metabolism, immune health, gut barrier function, and more.  Most of the benefits of these bacteria come down to the molecules they produce, such as short-chain fatty acids.* Short-Chain Fatty Acids (SCFAs) Are Key to Your Health SCFAs help with: Bowel regularity* Healthy gut barrier function* Healthy metabolic responses* Appetite satisfaction* Regulating the immune system* Reduction of pathogens* The Gut Affects the Metabolism No, improving your gut health will not be a magical weight loss regimen. However, it is a major factor in your weight management efforts. The Build-Up protocol can help improve the results of your healthy exercise and diet efforts. *  Weight gain and weight management issues are frequently associated with altered intestinal barrier permeability and reduced microbiome diversity. Research suggests that SCFAs may control the metabolism and determine whether you store or burn fat. Research suggests that a person with an abundance of Akkermansia, F. prausnitzii, Christensella, and butyrate production tends to be lean and have an easier time with weight management.* Build-Up helps restore a balanced Firmicutes to Bacteroides (F/B) ratio. The F/B ratio has a significant influence on maintaining a healthy microbiome. When this ratio is not in balance, people tend to struggle with weight and have elevated inflammatory responses.  The Build-Up protocol was formulated and created to help restore balance to your microbiome and is a key part of Silver Fern’s™ efforts to help with stubborn weight issues.* Diet Everyone’s circumstances are different, and we are also aware that a diet that is too strict is likely to fail. Here are some general guidelines and suggestions for a balanced approach to your diet during this protocol. Reduce or eliminate heavily processed foods Reduce or eliminate fast foods Reduce or eliminate the use of alcohol Reduce or eliminate the use of artificial sweeteners Reduce or eliminate consuming sugary foods, treats, and drinks We suggest you consider a balanced approach to your diet. What Should You Do Long-Term? We consider maintaining a healthy gut to be the secret to long-term health. The Build-Up protocol is also a great long-term option for continual help maintaining your microbiome and getting the fiber you need to support your system.* * These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
