Energetix Buffered Vitamin C with Rosehips Dietary Supplement Buffered Vitamin C with rosehips is a high potency encapsulated form of ascorbic acid in easy-to-dose 500 mg veggie capsules. It was designed to provide the benefits of vitamin C and be well tolerated by the digestive system. Buffered Vitamin C may support healthy: • Immunity • Antioxidant levels • Cellular metabolism • Adrenal function • Collagen production • Connective tissue and bone formation • Cardiovascular function Vitamin C is a water-soluble, essential nutrient that is not produced or easily stored in the body but must be consumed in food or supplemental form. However, ascorbic acid, the pure form of Vitamin C used in most supplements can occasionally create digestive distress for those with sensitive stomachs. Buffering is achieved by the addition of calcium and magnesium carbonate. These base mineral compounds neutralize acid and provide for increased tolerability by the gut. The bioflavonoids in rose hips increase the buffering effect and aid in bioavailability.
