If you're tough on your keys, we recommend getting a Buffalo Keychain by Yellowstone River Trading, which is made out of naturally shed antlers. Since it is essentially bone, you can bet that your keys can take a beating. But also, an antler keychain offers a beautiful and subtle way to accessorize. The makers at Yellowstone River Trading take time to cut and shape the antlers into small rectangles and finish with an inlay of a buffalo nickel. Released in 1913, the buffalo nickel was seen as a tribute to Native American Heritage that was designed but sculptor James Earle Fraser. It's the perfect way to add a little piece of art to your keychain. Yellowstone River Trading is based in Providence, Utah. This family operation handles all of the gathering of the natural antler shed. To do so, they hike far and wide into the great outdoors to find places where deer, elk, and moose may roam. From there, each piece of antler is taken to their workshop where they cut, shape, and polish it into unique pieces of art and functional utensils. Using antler shed for tools has been a practice in the United States for many years, so it's fun to carry a piece of that tradition in something as small as a keychain. Celebrate the west with this Buffalo Keychain by Yellowstone River Trading.
