Budapest Blush Dahlia

Budapest Blush Dahlia showcases a remarkable thermochromic display, emerging in pure white before cooler temperatures coax out soft lavender blush tones. This informal decorative type produces full 3-inch blooms on compact 5-inch stems, ideal for cutting gardens and mixed arrangements. The seasonal color evolution provides extended visual interest and makes each bloom stage uniquely valuable for floral design. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
