Bucephalandra Brownie Blue

Common Name: Bucephalandra Brownie Blue Bucephalandra Brownie Blue features oblong leaves with wavy edges that develop a lovely blueish hue after adapting to growing underwater. Similar to other Bucephalandra species, Brownie Blue exhibits its distinct coloration under proper care and when placed under aquarium LED lighting. It's a superb choice for nano planted tanks or as delicate accents in larger setups. This plant can be grown submerged or emersed. As an epiphyte, Bucephalandra sprouts new growth from its rhizome. Thriving under low to medium lighting, Bucephalandra achieves dense growth when provided favorable conditions. CO2 injection, proper water circulation, and regular tank maintenance can encourage faster and more robust growth. When planting, avoid covering the stem and rhizome to prevent rot and withering. Its care is similar to that of popular aquatic plants like Anubias and Java Ferns, but Bucephalandra is less tolerant of sudden parameter changes. Key Features & Important Notes Bucephalandra is an epiphytic aquarium plant so it can be attached to aquarium hardscape. Do not plant Bucephalandra in the substrate and cover the rhizome. This will cause it to melt and rot. Bucephalandra’s final size, coloration and growth rate are dependent upon the condition of the aquarium. Photos are a representation of what you will receive and may vary. Do not make drastic changes to the aquarium. Unstable parameters will result in melt and rotting of the aquarium plant. CO2 injection will yield better growth. Please research appropriately to ensure your plant thrives. Care & Additional Information  Listed information should be treated as general guidelines only.
