Brunswick Crown 78U Bowling Ball

The Brunswick Crown 78U is built for today’s competitive landscape, offering urethane reliability that meets new USBC regulations while delivering a stronger, more dynamic motion than traditional low-flare urethane options. Designed for bowlers who rely on urethane on sport patterns, but need added versatility and power, the Crown 78U fills a gap in the modern market with a motion that stands apart. At the core of its performance is the Tiered Hexagon engine—borrowed from the Crown Victory—and tuned to a higher RG with medium differential. This gives the Crown 78U more flare potential than standard urethane pieces, helping overcome the natural limitations of a firm 78-durometer cover. The result is a controllable yet more responsive urethane motion that blends wet/dry better and creates added shape when the pattern demands precision. Wrapped in Brunswick’s newly formulated 78U urethane shell, the Crown 78U is built for bowlers looking for a urethane option that not only complies with competition standards, but also gives them a stronger, more usable shape across tougher sport conditions and higher-rev environments.   Key Features: 78-Durometer Urethane Cover Meets current USBC hardness rules for national competition and offers a firmer, more durable reaction. Tiered Hexagon Core Higher RG and medium differential design delivers increased flare potential—rare for urethane. More Dynamic Urethane Motion A stronger footprint than standard low-flare urethane, giving bowlers more shape and control on demanding patterns. Tournament-Ready Control Ideal for sport shots, high-rev players, and anyone seeking a urethane option that hits the sweet spot between predictability and performance.
