Brother DR920 Drum Unit – Compatible Replacement | Castle Ink

The Brother DR920 compatible drum unit is a high-quality replacement for the original Brother DR920 drum assembly used in select Brother business-class laser printers. If your printer shows a “Replace Drum” or “Drum End Soon” message, prints faded pages, or leaves streaks and repeating marks, replacing the drum unit will restore your print quality. Many users replace the toner cartridge when print quality drops, but in Brother laser printers the toner and drum are separate components. The toner (TN920) provides the powder, while the drum unit actually transfers the image to the paper. Once the drum surface wears out, new toner alone will not fix printing problems. Our compatible DR920 drum unit is engineered to meet OEM performance standards, delivering sharp text, clean graphics, and reliable operation — while costing far less than the original Brother drum. Page Yield & Lifespan The Brother DR920 drum unit is rated for approximately 30,000 pages under normal office printing conditions. Most offices will use several TN920 toner cartridges before the drum needs replacement. Important: Installing a new toner cartridge will NOT clear a “Replace Drum” message. When the printer requests a drum replacement, a new drum unit is required.
