The 2021 Napa Cabernet is a blend of two small, exceptional backyard vineyards in Napa Valley: Jack’s Vineyard (89%) in Calistoga, located along the Napa River, and R and R Vineyard on Howell Mountain. Calistoga, known for its warmer climate, lends this wine its bold, dark fruit profile, while Howell Mountain adds structure and richness. With a focus on refined winemaking, this Cabernet undergoes 50% new oak aging for 20 months using the “Heidi Method,” inspired by renowned winemaker Heidi Barrett. The wine is fermented warm, with gentle pump-overs to maintain balance, and is pressed slightly sweet to soften the tannins. The result is a wine with rich, dark fruit and a smooth, elegant finish, perfect for those who appreciate Napa's classic Cabernet character.
