Whether you’re a fisher or you paddle purely for recreation, this kayak is a perfect choice if you value speed and stability. The speed comes from the pedal drive system — and your paddling, if you really want to cruise — and the smooth, carefully crafted shape of the Brooklyn Pedal Kayak 12.0’s hull, which allows for fast, straight tracking. The stability comes from the balanced length-to-width ratio, with the hull measuring 12-feet long by approximately 3-feet wide. This kayak is well-balanced enough for you to stand up and cast, then reel back in. And while you are seated, make sure to take advantage of the adjustable seat for your ultimate comfort. Right in front of that adjustable seat is a secure dry cargo hatch, and at the front and rear of the kayak you’ll find large cargo storage spots with bungee tie-down straps. And just to the left of the seat is the hand-operated lever that controls the rudder, which provides precise control as you weave your way through even the most crowded docks,  bay or dodge branches and rocks as you cruise down the river. No worries if you hit a rock or two, though, the Brooklyn Pedal Kayak 12.0’s tough rotomolded hull can easily handle it. It can secure your fishing rods hands-free in dual rod holders built into the hull, and there’s a cup holder for ya, too.
