This Bronze Bangle is made using the wax method of casting prevalent across West Africa. They were once a form of currency and an indicator of status, often forged directly onto a bride's arm as part of a dowry! They make an intriguing statement in a decorative tableau, and would be the perfect gift for a bride with a penchant for cultural symbolism and history. Made in Benin. Measures 8.5 (with stand) x 5.75 x 2.75 in.
