Designed with a modern vintage appeal, each hide is aniline-dyed and waxed using a traditional chrome tanning process that preserves its natural character. The surface is dressed with layers of soft oils and waxes, then lightly polished and milled to enhance its naturally milled grain and bring out subtle depth and texture. This less-is-more finishing approach highlights the hide’s organic features while delivering a supple, broken-in look that gets better with time. With its naturally aged appearance, soft hand, and authentic charm, This leather offers a sophisticated yet relaxed finish ideal for high-end upholstery with enduring appeal. True 100% top/full grain cowhide leather is characterized by variations in shade, texture, color and grain. Healed marks and scars are normal and enhance the natural beauty of the hides. These variations are unique features of true authentic 100% top/full grain cowhide leather. Frame Construction: Using traditional hand craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods to produce frames that are among the finest used in the upholstery business. Each frame is precisely cut and hand assembled using kilned dried lumber. Double dowels are utilized in all structural parts to form sturdy, long lasting joints. To complete construction and add stability to the frame, large precisely cut corner blocks are positioned at each corner where the greatest stress occurs using both glues and screws.
