Brompton Cafe Lock

Always With You, Never in the Way The Brompton Cafe Lock replaces your existing extended seatpost with one that has a retractable stainless steel cable and combination lock built right in. There are no keys to carry, no separate lock to forget at home, and no awkward attachment points—just a neat lock holder under the saddle and 0.6 meters of bright red cable ready whenever you need a quick stop. The red cable does double duty as a visual deterrent, making it obvious at a glance that the bike is secured. This is Brompton's own solution for the moments you can't fold and bring the bike inside: a coffee shop run, a quick errand, a train platform, or a busy bar. It's designed for low-security, eyes-not-quite-on-it situations rather than extended unattended parking in high-traffic areas—and Brompton is upfront about that. For the vast majority of city riding moments, it's exactly the right tool: weightless to carry because it's already part of the bike. Lock In, Walk Away Integrated directly into the extended seatpost—replaces your existing post and is always on the bike. Combination lock means no keys to lose or forget; set your own code for fast, reliable access. Retractable stainless steel cable stores inside the seatpost when not in use, keeping the bike looking clean. Bright red 0.6m cable (excluding lock) wraps around frames, racks, or posts and acts as a visible deterrent. Neat lock holder mounts under the saddle for tidy cable management. Compatible with all saddles; extended seatpost size only. Low-security rating—ideal for short stops nearby, not for extended unattended parking in high-risk areas.
