Brod & Taylor Dough Sheeter

Equipment Product Notes - Brod & Taylor Dough Sheeter Description Section Product Title: Brod & Taylor Dough Sheeter Main Description: Laminating dough by hand is a bear: You have to roll butter-laden enriched dough to perfect evenness with just a rolling pin and your hands, while ensuring the butter stays cold and solid. If it warms up, you can kiss your defined layers goodbye. Enter Brod & Taylor’s countertop dough sheeter. It combines a sturdy, aluminum-cored board with dual aluminum rollers that easily adjust from 0–26 millimeters in thickness so you can roll doughs to uniform thickness quickly and effortlessly. According to our testers, who have used both commercial and at-home sheeters before, the board is what sets this one apart. It provides an elevated work surface to support soft, buttery enriched doughs with no issue, and it’s reversible so you get two surfaces in one. As for the rolling component itself, it’s sturdy and stable, with suction cups that hold the stainless steel-and-aluminum body securely on your counter as you work. There are simple, clearly marked adjustment knobs on either side of the rollers, which allow you to select a precise thickness within one or two millimeters. (The 0–6 millimeter range adjusts in 1-millimeter increments and the 6–26 millimeter range adjusts in 2-millimeter increments.) Once you’ve selected your desired thickness, crank the handle to pass your dough (and the board) through the rollers; the manual operation means there’s no electricity cost or awkward, tangled cords to manage. Short on counter space? Don’t worry—this sheeter folds up and comes with a sleek storage case to keep it safely stowed in between uses. Your days of hoping and praying for evenly rolled out croissants, kouign-amann and pie crusts are over—this sheeter leaves nothing to chance.
