Brighton Train 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

The “Brighton - Train” pattern, by Karen Lorraine Design, provides the option of re-creating a Victorian Era Train, or of crafting a Modern-day Train for Bridal Wear and Red Carpet events. This pattern is originally from a four-piece outfit that also includes a Bodice/Jacket, Foundation/Underskirt, and an Overskirt. (These other three pieces are also available to purchase separately or you can purchase the entire pattern of “Brighton: 4-piece Outfit”.) This detachable Train with its waistband contains subtle pleats and tacks, while offering many opportunities for further embellishments.  Also used with this pattern is the method of flatlining (and not underlining). This is a historical method that helps with clothing construction including to hold the trims in place.  This pattern is designed to fit 18-inch dolls like American Girl® or Our Generation™.
