Rhonda Allison Brightening Scrub is ideal for those looking to improve the appearance of dullness, uneven skin tone, rough texture, and lack of radiance. It is a good choice for normal, combination, and oily skin types that benefit from gentle physical exfoliation. It can also help skin appear smoother and more polished by removing surface buildup. Those with very sensitive, inflamed, or compromised skin should use caution with physical exfoliants. How do I use it correctly? After cleansing, apply a small amount to damp skin and gently massage using light circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Do not apply heavy pressure—allow the exfoliating particles to do the work. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and follow with a hydrating serum and moisturizer. Use 1–2 times per week or as recommended by your skincare professional. Always apply sunscreen during the day. What are the key ingredients, and what do they do? Jojoba Beads – Provide gentle physical exfoliation to help remove dead surface cells and smooth the appearance of skin texture. Brightening Botanicals – Help improve the appearance of dullness and uneven skin tone while supporting a more radiant complexion. Antioxidant Extracts – Help protect skin from environmental stressors that contribute to premature aging. Skin-Conditioning Ingredients – Help leave skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed after exfoliation. Can I use this with retinol, vitamin C, or exfoliating acids? Yes, but avoid over-exfoliating by combining too many active products at once. Retinol: Yes. It is usually best to avoid using a physical scrub on the same night as retinol, especially if your skin is sensitive. Alternate nights to reduce irritation. Vitamin C: Yes. You can use vitamin C on another day or after your skin has recovered from exfoliation. Avoid combining if your skin feels sensitive. Exfoliating acids (AHAs/BHAs): Use caution. Since this product exfoliates physically, layering it with acid exfoliants may be too intense for some skin types. Alternate exfoliating products instead. Is it fragrance-free, cruelty-free, or vegan? Fragrance-free: No. Brightening Scrub contains naturally aromatic ingredients and is not considered fragrance-free. Cruelty-free: Yes. Rhonda Allison states that its products are not tested on animals. Vegan: Not confirmed. Rhonda Allison does not clearly identify this product as vegan, so it is best not to advertise it as vegan without confirmation from the manufacturer.
