What sets it apart from the other Eminence starter sets is the fourth piece: it is the only one that includes a daily SPF 40 moisturizer. That is not a bonus item. The look of dark spots is closely tied to daily sun exposure, so daytime protection is the step that lets the other three do their job, and skipping it is the most common reason a brightening routine seems to stall. Build it up over a week or two rather than starting all four at once. Begin with the Bright Skin Cleanser in the evening and the SPF 40 moisturizer every morning, then add the Licorice Root Booster-Serum, and finally the masque for five to ten minutes as directed. Apply the moisturizer about fifteen minutes before you go out, and reapply through the day as the label instructs. While you are settling in, keep other exfoliating products out of the routine so you can tell what is doing what. Expect the look of tone to shift slowly and unevenly rather than all at once, and treat these travel sizes as a trial period: they are sized to tell you whether the line suits you, not to carry you through a season. Safety InformationFor external use only. Patch test each product on a small area before the first full use, especially if your skin is sensitive. Keep all four away from the eyes, and rinse with water if anything gets in. Follow the masque timing on the label rather than leaving it on longer, and introduce one product at a time so an unhappy reaction is easy to trace. Apply the SPF moisturizer generously and reapply as directed, and be aware that brightening routines make daily sun protection more important, not less. Stop using a product if you notice persistent stinging or redness, and store the set away from heat and direct sunlight. Not recommended for: Anyone with a known sensitivity to licorice root or any other ingredient listed on the four packages. Broken or freshly exfoliated skin, or skin that feels sore after time in the sun. Use in or around the eyes themselves. Stacking with other strong exfoliating products while your skin is still adjusting to the set. Frequently Asked QuestionsWhich piece do I start with? The cleanser and the SPF 40 moisturizer. Those two are the base of the routine; the serum and masque are the steps you add once skin is comfortable. How often should I use the masque? Follow the directions on the tube — five to ten minutes per application, then rinse. Longer is not better, and daily use is not the intent. Do I still need my own sunscreen? The set includes an SPF 40 moisturizer, so it can cover your daytime protection. Apply it about fifteen minutes before sun exposure and reapply as the label directs. Can I use it with the Age Corrective products? Yes, though not all in one layer. Many people run the Bright Skin routine in the morning and keep firming products for the evening, which avoids piling several actives on at once. How long will four travel sizes last? Long enough to judge fit rather than to replace full sizes. If the routine agrees with you, move to full sizes of the individual products; if you are unsure what to keep, an online skincare consultation is a practical next step.
