Bríghid

Colors: Gold, Red, and Orange Scents: Sweetgrass and Dandelion Stones: Sunstone and Moonstone Pronunciation: BREE-jid (modern English), traditionally BREED or BREE-yid (Old Irish) Purpose: To honor healing, creativity, and the sacred warmth of the hearth Invocation: Bríghid, flame of inspiration and hearth-fire bright, be welcome here. Warm this space, guide my hands, and let your sacred fire burn gently within. Description: Bríghid does not merely appear. She ignites. A living flame sparked at the threshold where inspiration becomes form. She is the fire in the forge and the quiet glow of embers banked for the night, the healer’s hands and the poet’s breath, the sacred warmth of a hearth that welcomes and transforms. Her presence moves like memory and promise entwined. Sweetgrass cleanses and blesses, carrying prayers upward on its smoke, while dandelion speaks of resilience, persistence, and the courage to bloom again and again. This is Bríghid as renewer and protector, gentle, luminous, and unwavering. Her stones hold the balance she embodies. Sunstone carries her creative fire, confidence, and life giving warmth. Moonstone reflects her role as midwife of intuition, cycles, and quiet inner knowing. Together they honor Bríghid as both flame and sanctuary, light and listening. Light this candle to invite healing, inspiration, and the steady, sacred warmth of a well tended hearth.
