As a dedicated disc player, the M19 offers unparalleled playback of both CDs and SACDs, ensuring that every detail of the music is rendered with stunning clarity. Its robust build and advanced technology make it an ideal choice for use with high-end headphones and home audio setups, while also serving as a reliable component alongside streamers and other hi-res audio sources. The Bricasti M19 redefines what audiophiles can expect from a premium SACD/CD transport, bringing their favorite recordings to life with remarkable fidelity. Simplicity and No Additional Processing The Bricasti M19 is a meticulously crafted SACD/CD transport designed with a singular focus on delivering uncompromising performance. Its refreshingly simple and intuitive operation allows users to effortlessly enjoy their favorite discs without the complexities often associated with modern digital audio components. The M19's design philosophy revolves around simplicity in every aspect. The engineers at Bricasti have intentionally eschewed features such as upsampling, built-in DACs, digital inputs, or USB support. While these features may be convenient in some scenarios, they can often complicate the user experience when all you want to do is insert a disc and immerse yourself in the music. Moreover, the inclusion of these additional features can introduce unnecessary complexity to the digital design, potentially compromising the purity of the audio signal. By focusing solely on the transport mechanism and digital output, the M19 ensures that no extraneous processing is introduced, preserving the integrity of the original mastered media. This approach guarantees a clear and clean rendering of the audio, faithfully reproducing the sound exactly as the artists and engineers intended. The M19's commitment to simplicity and purity extends to its output options. It provides a carefully engineered digital output stage, offering a pristine signal that can be fed to your favorite external digital-to-analog converter (DAC). By separating the transport and DAC functions, the M19 allows users to choose the best DAC for their system and preferences, further enhancing the potential for exceptional audio quality. Recommended Dragon Cable: We recommend pairing the Bricasti M19 SACD Transport with our Black Dragon AES Digital Cable. It features true 110-ohm characteristics, several XLR connector options, Silver Plated Copper conductors, and a fantastic sound! Our AES/EBU cable utilizes 2 Silver Plated copper conductors with a Teflon jacket. It has both an aluminum foil shield as well as a 100% coverage braided shield. Power Player for the Best CD Playback Performance The power supply is the foundation of any high-performance audio component, and the Bricasti M19 has been designed with this principle in mind. To ensure optimal performance, the M19 features two oversized, independent linear power supplies, each equipped with medical-grade toroidal transformers. This robust power supply design guarantees a clean, stable, and noise-free power delivery to the transport's critical components. One of the power supplies is dedicated solely to the transport's mechanical aspects, such as the motor drive and loader. This ensures that the motor receives a stable and high-current power supply, resulting in accurate and consistent motor speeds. By providing a dedicated power supply for the mechanical components, the M19 minimizes potential speed fluctuations and vibrations that could otherwise introduce jitter and degrade the audio quality. The second power supply is reserved for the digital circuitry and components directly related to the audio path. By separating the power supplies for the mechanical and digital sections, the M19 ensures complete autonomy between these two critical areas. This isolation prevents any potential cross-contamination or interference between the transport mechanism and the sensitive audio electronics. The independent power supplies work together to maintain a pristine audio signal path. The mechanical power supply's stability and high current capability minimize the risk of jitter, while the digital power supply's clean and ripple-free output preserves the integrity of the audio data. By eliminating potential sources of noise, ripple, and jitter, the M19 creates an optimal environment for the precise retrieval and transmission of the digital audio signal. The use of medical-grade toroidal transformers further enhances the power supply's performance. These transformers are renowned for their efficiency, low noise, and minimal electromagnetic interference. They provide a robust and reliable foundation for the M19's power supply, ensuring consistent performance and long-term reliability. Details make the difference The M19 is meticulously crafted as a single, cohesive unit within a milled aluminum chassis. This design places the power supply in close proximity to the drive and digital output sections, significantly minimizing the risk of RF contamination and ensuring optimal isolated current delivery to the drive motor. By integrating the power supply directly into the chassis, the design eliminates unnecessary cables and connectors, which is crucial for maintaining the purity of low current, low voltage DC power. This approach ensures the best possible current delivery to all components of the device, making the separation of the power supply from the drive unnecessary I2S super-performance The M19 features a proprietary I2S digital output designed exclusively for use with Bricasti DACs. This I2S interface, typically used internally within Bricasti products for data transfer between PC boards, becomes a seamless connection when used between the M19 and a Bricasti DAC. This integration ensures that the DAC functions as an extension of the M19, enhancing overall performance. The result is a noticeable improvement in sound clarity across the entire spectrum. This I2S input option is available for all new Bricasti DACs and can also be added as an upgrade for existing customers About Bricasti Design Bricasti Design is a premier manufacturer in the professional audio industry, renowned for its meticulous craftsmanship and high-performance products.
