Brew (& Read) Tee

This shirt is straight out of the Brew Box archives — one of the first manifestos we ever printed. Back when Cxffeeblack was just a coffee box, a few shows, and the conviction that gathering Black folks around cups was a kind of organizing. The order on the shirt — Brew (& read), Plot, Plan, Strategize, Organize, Mobilize, Repeat — was the playbook then. We're putting it back on cotton because it's the playbook stilIt's been a season in Memphis. We've lost too much, too fast, and a lot of folks are walking around with the kind of grief that doesn't have a funeral. We're re-releasing this not as a nostalgic move but as a reminder: this has always been the plan. The steps haven't changed because the assignment hasn't changed. Brew. Read. Plot. Plan. The work is the same whether the city is celebrating or grieving. This drop walks beside the Stay In A Book energy Memphis has been carrying — the conviction that the page is a weapon and a sanctuary, that reading is how we keep our feet under us when the ground moves. Brewing and reading have always been a pair around here. You make the cup. You open the book. You don't skip steps. We are not intimidated by the presence of danger. We are not destabilized by the reality of disrespect. This is the basis of our prayer, of our gatherings, and of our confidence — Yah has done it before. We remember the way. He will do it again. Cups up, homies. See you at the club. We need each other now more than ever.
