A meeting of two mechanical worlds In the early 2000s, Breitling and Bentley brought together two traditions of precision engineering: Swiss watchmaking and British grand touring. The Flying B takes its name from Bentley's iconic winged emblem and its historical Flying B bonnet mascot. Unlike the circular chronographs that dominated the Breitling for Bentley collection, this watch adopted an imposing rectangular case inspired by the sculptural lines and luxurious character of Bentley automobiles. Its defining feature is an unusual jumping-hour display. Instead of using a conventional hour hand, the watch presents the hour through a window at 12 o'clock. A single central hand indicates the minutes, while a separate register at six o'clock displays the running seconds. The result is an unconventional interpretation of the luxury sports watch: part mechanical instrument, part automotive design statement and unmistakably a product of the partnership between Breitling and Bentley.
