Breakfast of Champions

Part vessel, part still life, Breakfast of Champions transforms familiar tabletop rituals into abstraction. Handcrafted from burned maple, the piece gathers a series of geometric forms within a shallow circular basin—shapes that hint at fruit, grain, architecture, or memory without fully resolving into any one thing. The charred surface softens the precision of the geometry, giving the composition a quiet warmth beneath its dark exterior. A single flower rises from the center, interrupting the arrangement with something living and temporary. Playful yet restrained, the work sits somewhere between centerpiece and meditation on daily ritual—an ode to nourishment, form, and the objects we return to every morning.
