Brazil Cavaquinho Natural

Cat & Cloud's Brazil Cavaquinho Natural is a love letter to everything Brazilian coffee does best. Sourced from rotating cooperatives and estates across Brazil's legendary growing regions, this pulp-natural processed coffee delivers creamy body, jammy sweetness, and a decadent nutty profile that makes it a permanent fixture in Cat & Cloud's single-origin lineup. Named after the small four-string guitar that brings rhythm to Brazilian music, Cavaquinho coffee brings approachable sweetness and low acidity to your cup—whether you're pulling shots or brewing pour over. Tasting NotesExpect a sensory experience that's equal parts comforting and sophisticated. The cup opens with bright, jammy fruit sweetness reminiscent of strawberry preserves, then transitions into creamy peanut butter richness. Milk chocolate adds percussive balance throughout, creating what Cat & Cloud aptly describes as a "PB&J sandwich" profile. The body is lush and creamy, the acidity gentle and musical, and the finish lingers with nutty sweetness. This is Brazilian coffee at its most expressive—bold enough to stand out, smooth enough to drink all day. Brew MethodsCavaquinho shines brightest as espresso, where its natural sweetness and creamy body create shots that need little embellishment. It's equally stunning in milk drinks—the jammy fruit notes play beautifully against steamed milk's sweetness. Pour over methods (V60, Chemex) highlight the coffee's fruit-forward character and nutty complexity, while French press amplifies its full body and chocolate tones. This medium roast is versatile enough for experimentation across the brew spectrum.
