Brass Waterford Pelham

The Brass Waterford Pelham Bit combines the flexible, multi-link Waterford mouthpiece with the leverage action of a Pelham design, offering riders enhanced control and adaptability. The brass composition encourages salivation, promoting a softer mouth and better acceptance of the bit. This bit is particularly effective for horses that tend to lean or become strong, as the Waterford mouthpiece discourages this action, while the Pelham configuration allows for adjustable leverage to suit various horse needs. Key Features of the Brass Waterford Mouthpiece : Flexible Pressure Distribution : The multiple rounded links of the Waterford mouthpiece conform to the horse’s mouth. This ergonomic contouring exerts even pressure therefore reducing the risk of discomfort. Prevents Leaning : The flexible design of the links discourages horses from leaning or bracing against the bit. This encourages proper contact, promoting better balance and control. Encourages Salivation : The brass material naturally stimulates salivation which softens the horse’s mouth for improved acceptance of the bit. Pelham Design Features : Versatile Rein Options : The Pelham design allows for multiple rein placements, offering the rider flexibility in how much leverage they want to apply based on their riding situation. Balanced Leverage : The shanks of the Pelham provide balanced leverage, giving riders the option to gently lift the horse when needed while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel. Encourages Responsiveness : Even with the added leverage, the Pelham design helps horses remain responsive and engaged, promoting better communication between horse and rider.
