Brass Peg Gun

Super awesome pick from the show! This vintage Brass Peg Gun was picked up in the OH/ MI area of the midwest. When researched, it appears to be a late 1800's musket. The Brass Peg pattern on the stock are characteristic of Native American adornment, often seen on rifles used by the Lakota Sioux or other Plains Indian groups. These tacks were commonly added to trade guns as decorative elements or status symbols during the mid-to-late 1800s.   This unique piece is sold exclusively at our LeClaire Iowa retail storefront.  For inquiries on purchasing this piece, please contact Sarah at sarah.elizabeth@antiquearchaeology.com please included your name, phone number, and email address and a member of our team will get back to you shortly.
