Brass Candleholder, Octagon

With a minimalist design that complements any decor, Fog Linen's octagonal brass candleholder works in every situation, from a simple mantle arrangement to an elaborate holiday tablescape. The flat base provides ample surface contact, ensuring a secure hold for all your taper candles.  Each piece is handcrafted in Moradabad, a city in northern India about a three-hour drive from Delhi, known for its rich metalworking tradition. From wire weaving to welding and finishing, every step is done by hand—often by a specialist focused on just one part of the process. For finer details, two artisans work side by side in quiet rhythm, their practiced hands moving with care and precision. Using time-honored techniques passed down through generations, every detail reflects the care, precision, and rhythm of many hands at work, making each piece not only functional, but meaningful. Materials:  brass Made by:  Fog Linen Made in:  India Specifications:  2.3" diameter inner dimension of candle opening is approx. 7/8" just under 1" tall Our Danica Design taper candles work nicely in this holder, but may have a little wiggle room. Typically, you want a snug fit to prevent lit candles from tipping. If you find your candles are wobbly in their holders, we recommend using a bit of melted wax or some Stick-Um Candle Adhesive to secure the bottom of the candle into the base.  Care:  Brass products will take on a patina as they age, developing a rich, antiqued look. If you prefer the look of polished brass, metal polishes such as Brasso can be used to restore the original luster.  Further Reading:  Yumiko Sekine founded Fog Linen in 1999 after visiting Lithuania, where flax is grown and spun into linen. Unable to find the simple, everyday linens she remembered from her childhood, she partnered with a local mill to create her own designs. What began with just seven items has grown into a full collection of linen goods, clothing, and brass homewares—all inspired by Sekine’s belief in creating beautiful, functional products for daily life.
