Brass Camping Compass – with Clip

The Vermont Lanterns Brass and Copper Compass is a beautifully crafted, multifunctional piece that blends nostalgia with practicality. Finely made, this compass is not only fully operational but also serves as a unique piece of art. Solid brass and copper construction ensures durability while offering a timeless aesthetic. The compass features a handy clip, making it ideal for attaching to backpacks or belts for camping adventures, yet it’s equally at home as a distinguished desk paperweight or an intriguing conversation starter. The compass’s lid is ingeniously designed; it can be reversed to provide a flat base for stable use on any table or surface. A standout feature is the engraved copper faceplate, adorned with the classic Vermont Lanterns logo, enhancing its collectible appeal. Upon opening the threaded case, you’re greeted by a classic, old-world compass, perfect for navigating or just admiring. The interior of the lid is etched with Robert Frost’s iconic poem, “The Road Not Taken,” adding a layer of cultural significance, especially given Frost’s prolific period in Vermont where many of his renowned works were penned. This compass transcends mere utility, becoming a thoughtful gift that carries with it the charm of Vermont’s literary history and the romance of exploration. Whether for a collector, an outdoor enthusiast, or someone who appreciates the beauty of handcrafted items, this compass is a treasure that invites reflection on paths chosen and the beauty of the journey. The brass and copper are polished, and not sealed. They will age and patina naturally with time, or can be polished occasionally if desired.
