Brass & Bloom Resort Shorts

The shorts you put on when the pager stays in the drawer. Hand-painted in the spirit of vintage 1950s Hawaiian aloha shirts - crashing turquoise waves, tropical hibiscus and plumeria in full bloom, and weathered brass hardware scattered through it all like jewelry caught in the print. Look closer and you'll find the details only one of us would notice: brass fire nozzle couplings, Maltese cross medallions, and the Black Helmet skull tucked in among the florals. It's a quiet flex. Worn well, nobody on the beach is asking what fire department you're with. They're just asking where you got the shorts. For the trip you've been planning. The pool deck. The rooftop. The boat. The honeymoon. The first vacation in three years where the phone actually stays off. Off duty. Off the grid. On vacation.
