Brass Baphomet Statue

The history of Baphomet dates back to medieval Europe and is often linked to the Knights Templar. Some believe it stems from the Latinized version of «Mahomet, » a name used to refer to Muhammad, though this is widely disputed among historians. The connection predominantly emerged during the Inquisition, where it was alleged that the Templars worshipped a figure resembling Baphomet. Baphomet embodies duality, representing the harmony of seemingly opposing concepts such as male and female, good and evil, and light and dark. This aspect makes it a powerful metaphor for integration and understanding. The pentagram on Baphomet’s forehead signifies wisdom and the five elements that compose the universe: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. This culmination of symbols invites individuals to explore their inner selves and discover deeper truths.
