A spot near an east or west-facing window with 6 or more hours of indirect light daily works well. Avoid cold drafts and heating vents. Water: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry. Water thoroughly until it drains from the bottom, then empty the saucer. Never let the pot sit in standing water. Humidity: This tree has tropical roots and appreciates humidity. Misting the leaves occasionally, or placing a pebble tray with water beneath the pot, helps keep the foliage healthy, especially during drier winter months. That's it: Consistency is key. The Braided Benjamina Ficus likes a stable spot, steady watering, and plenty of indirect light. Give it a few weeks to settle into your home and it will reward you with steady, lush growth. Each moment caring for your tree becomes a quiet act of remembrance. A Note on Leaf Drop: Ficus are sensitive to change and may drop some leaves when moved to a new environment. This is normal.
