This Saxon bow brooch is large with an openwork crescent end. Bow brooches were worn by Germanic peoples like the Goths, Franks, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings and were influenced by late Roman fibulae brooches. Cast in bronze, this piece is also available with a silver-plated or blackened silver-plated finish. This brooch has a steel pin for strength. 4-1/4" long by 2-3/4" wide (10.7 cm x 7 cm)
