Bough Bar Stool

The Kalon Studios Bough Bar Stool blends traditional craftsmanship with modern minimalist design through its distinctive solid American hardwood construction and sculptural leg geometry. This bar stool features complex concealed joints of surprising strength, with slender legs designed to let light pass through and a comfortable crossbar that provides the perfect perch for feet. The clean, architectural silhouette adds sophisticated presence without overwhelming the space. Whether you're creating seating at kitchen islands where the counter height accommodates casual dining experiences, positioning it at drafting desks where the elevated design enhances work environments, or using it in commercial spaces where the visual tension between heavy wood slabs and delicate legs commands attention, the Bough Bar Stool delivers functional seating and timeless contemporary appeal. This modern bar stool is more than just beautiful. It combines solid American hardwood construction available in Ash, Walnut, or White Oak with hand-rubbed Kalon Bare Finish that preserves the delicate and luminous beauty of raw wood. Built by small teams of master craftsmen using traditional and technological methods with 360-degree approach to sustainability, featuring no toxins, no off-gassing, and EDC-free construction for healthy indoor environments. The concealed joinery system ensures structural integrity while maintaining clean lines, plus custom specifications available to meet individual needs. As a result, you can use it for counter dining, work surfaces, or bar areas where both functional seating and heirloom-quality craftsmanship are essential. Kalon Studios, based in Los Angeles, designs with sustainability, craftsmanship, and quiet understated aesthetic at its core. The Bough Bar Stool reflects the studio's commitment to creating heirloom-quality pieces made to last and be loved across generations and trends, drawing upon the functional beauty of Shaker furniture and Japan's Sashimono tradition. Founded with vision for timeless intent and longevity, they create furniture that explores opposition between traditional and modern, between delicacy and resilience. Through domestically sourced sustainable materials and thoughtful visual contrasts, Kalon Studios helps you build spaces that feel both functionally optimized and beautifully considered with authentic American design sophistication.
