Botanical XXII

Botanical XXII, Symphyotrichum pilosum, original painted in fall 2025. On inspiration for the collection:  I am incredibly inspired by everything in God's world He has made. I find that my art practice is one of the ways I cultivate awe for how big and how good He is. It can be humbling to study and paint and repaint the same subject and still feel the beauty pales in comparison to what He has created. Recently I've been struck by the symmetry and geometry of different varieties of flowers, and how certain numbers and shapes may carry through to the stem and leaf structure from the petals. The more I look, the more I can't help but notice the great care and attention to detail He has exercised in every created thing, even the wildflowers. "Yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory wasn't clothed like one of these." (Matthew 6:29) This is an unframed, museum-grade, Giclée print of an original painting. Prints are printed on acid-free, Hahnemühle German Etching cotton paper or Archival Cotton Rag paper for texture that looks and feels like an original. All prints are printed to order so please allow up to 7-10 days to process and ship your order. Once your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.
