Boston Hand-Drawn Map

This 24” x 18” unframed lithographic art print features an original hand-illustrated map of Boston by Xplorer Maps artist Chris Robitaille. Created in pen and ink with watercolor detail, the artwork captures the layered history and architectural character of one of America’s oldest cities. Founded in 1630, Boston played a defining role in the American Revolution and continues to blend colonial heritage with modern innovation. The map highlights the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and the historic North End, alongside the city’s working waterfront — home to the New England Aquarium and the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. Prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and MIT anchor the academic and cultural influence of the region, while distinct neighborhoods weave together centuries of architecture, immigration, and industry. Blending cartographic precision with artistic storytelling, this piece serves as a meaningful tribute to Boston’s revolutionary roots and enduring intellectual spirit.
