Master Vintage Ride Highly expressive, showcasing its unique sounds and expert craftsmanship. Produces dark, warm, low-pitched cushion of tone. Boasts a mellow and woody sound, with a distinct "slap" ping. Offers a soft and pliable response. Projects a wash of smoky undertones that supports the stick definition even during up tempo passages. Reviews "Dark, complex tones. Fine hand-hammered build. Excellent playability. The ride is immediately apparent that despite being mostly unlathed, it is a very thin cymbal with a pronounced edge wobble under anything more than moderate sticking. Light strokes are articulated cleanly, with a metallic edge even when played with wood-tipped sticks, but the initial strike dissipates quickly into a dark, woody fundamental note. Pressing on with faster and heavier sticking patterns induces a roar, but it can be controlled easily." - Jake Stacey "As a drummer who's spent years searching for the perfect jazz ride, I can honestly say that the Master Vintages are some of the most inspiring ride cymbals I've ever played. The cymbals are very thin-they can be bent easily with the hands-and their profile is quite flat. Sonically, the Master Vintage rides shared basic qualities: They had a dark and dry fundamental tone with clear, precise, and noticeably "woody stick response. The wash was prominent but never overpowering, creating a low rumble of smoldering overtones that was excited ever so slightly by each push accent or bell hit. For die-hard jazzers-or even studio players who play lightly and use small sticks-these rides have that special quality that makes everything you play sound better." - Michael Dawson "All Bosphorus cymbals are excellent, but Master Vintage cater to my preferred taste in tones the most. The main tonal quality you’ll find in these cymbals is dryness. They have less sustain than the other Bosphorus cymbals, meaning they get out the way incredibly quickly when you play them. They also have amazing stick definition." - Brett Clur Warranty Bosphorus has TWO years warranty against manufacturing flaws, starting from date of the purchase.
