Boost 99 POW

Backcountry Skiing Canada 2024 Gear of the Year! Backline Magazine 2022 "Top Pick" At its best - the Hagan Boost 99 POW Tour Freeride Ski The BOOST 99 POW is built for free riders who like to venture deep into demanding alpine terrain and press the pedal on remote descents. Powerful skiers will enjoy laying down fast, long turns while the carbon and paulownia construction also lends to braiding tight figure 8s in powder. The BOOST 99 is light enough for long tours while its 99 mm waist and 131 mm shovel provide stability and security even in difficult snow conditions. The BOOST 99 POW is equally at home on firmer slopes. It is stable on edge and holds lines securely. This freerider is the tool for adventurers whose exploits guarantee they will experience a wide variety of conditions. Description Specs Technical Features BOOST POW is what Hagan calls the Tour Freeride series skis. This is a light touring ski for uphill that impresses with 100 percent freeride performance downhill, whether on powder or in less ideal conditions. The BOOST 99's waist width has been retained while they have been further developed and redesigned. The aim is to make descents better than ever.  Read Backcountry Skiing Canada’s review here:  https://www.backcountryskiingcanada.com/Hagan-Boost-Skis New is the special poplar wood core (Freerider-Woodcore), which is ideal for the Tour-Freeride line because of its longer wood fibers. The carbon reinforcements in the tip and tail of the ski as well as the titanium reinforcement in the binding area provide the best stability and ski control in all snow conditions and at every speed. Created with the Hagan Pro Team, the BOOST 99 POW are sporty fun machines for long turns and tree runs. Finding an optimal balance between stability and lightness was particularly important to the team of developers. The result are skis that offer the highest degree of descending stability while being completely suitable for long ski touring days. BOOST 99 POW: "Turn your passion into purpose" is the motto of the BOOST 99, the widest ski in the Hagan line-up. With a 410 mm tip rocker, it is made to glide wonderfully in deep snow. The new BOOST POW Tour Freeride skis stand more than ever for Hagan’s extensive efforts regarding climate protection and sustainability. The family business actively collaborates with "Protect Our Winters" (POW) for responsible handling of natural resources and the mountain world. Protect Our Winters emphasizes the importance of winter and raises awareness of the direct link between winter sports and sustainability. The collaboration between Hagan and POW is boldly underlined by the co-branding of the BOOST POW models. First Lines, Powder and Steep Slopes: HAGAN BOOST 99 POW skis are light enough for long tours, but are by no means oversized. 410mm tip rockers provide plenty of float for high speed turns. Hagan Boost skis are built with 3D "diminishing rib" profiles — a raised central ridge that tapers out towards the ski’s edge for a reduction in swing weight. The rib is taller and narrower near the bindings, progressively widening while getting shallower near the tip and tail. The rib shape keeps the skis stiffer mid-foot while absorbing impact without chatter. Tip and tail rocker help float over soft snow and cut through chop, while camber underfoot and carbon stringers provide stability and stiffness, ensuring they rip the hardback. From flotation devices to powerful chargers, welcome to the most playful line of powder skis on the market. CARBON CUT CAP TECHNOLOGY HAGAN's innovative and proprietary carbon fiber inlay in the ski tip increases stability and greatly reduces vibration, improving control and smoothness on hard chattery surfaces.. DIE-CUT-BASE Our graphite sintered bases with die cut inlays are extremely durable with stone-ground base structure ideally tuned for optimal descending and gliding. MULTI RADIUS Our multiradius concept lets you adapt to snow conditions and speeds as desired, creating short and long turn radii on a totally individual basis. Increase forward pressure to shorten the turning radius, decrease forward pressure to lengthen the turning radius. LOW PROFILE 3D-SHAPE Our remarkably thin construction in conjunction with a micro-height sidewall greatly reduces weight. 3-Dimensional top surface shaping increases torsional rgidity and maximizes edge grip. ROCKER All Hagan ski models are equipped with tip and tail rocker. The rocker length varies amongst models between 250 and 390mm front and 90 to 150mm. Optimized for the ascent, the “tour” rocker height is between 3 and 4mm. ELLIPTICAL FRONT SKI We designed an elliptical shape to keep the oversized shovel perfectly manageable in any snow condition and all types of terrain. The elliptical shape surfs untracked powder perfectly, but also carves through breakable crust and difficult conditions with control and precision. DIAMOND EDGE CAP The diamond shaped top cap ensures perfect power transmission and reduces swing weight.
