Booker's Little Book 2017 "The Easy" CH.1

Booker's 2017 Little Book “The Easy” - 750ml Proof: 128.2 Blend: 4 year Bourbon, 13 year corn whiskey, 6 year 100% malt whiskey, 6 year high rye bourbon Nose: Sweet and youthful on the nose. Raw grain, cornbread, and a hint of ginger are robust in their delivery. There’s a touch of ethanol as well, but less than expected for the proof. The aroma is more interesting than it is inviting, though it’s certainly not a deterrent. Palate: Sweet corn and warm buttered cornbread are rounded out by rye spice and the tiniest trace of anise. aged oak, caramel, and vanilla.  The very first product release from Freddie Noe, son of Jim Beam Master Distiller Fred Noe. “The Easy” is the first of wat will become an annual, limited edition release and each one will be a unique blend selected by Freddie. It’s been noted that Booker Noe, Freddie’s grandfather who was the Master Distiller for which Booker’s whiskey is named, once declared: “He’s got a good sniffer on him. He’ll go far in the family business.” Freddie joined the Kentucky distillery team in 2013, working at nearly every job from cleaning and maintenance to apprenticing during the distillation process. It was during his training in research and development that he discovered his favorite part of making whiskey was blending. That was when the idea for Little Book came to fruition. Freddie spent over a year tasting and selecting whiskeys until he found a flavor profile that satisfied him.
