Booker's Rountable 2013-6

Experience the unfiltered power and complexity of Booker's True Barrel Bourbon 2013-6, a testament to Booker Noe's legendary vision. Bottled at a robust 125.9 proof and aged for 7 years, this uncut Kentucky Straight Bourbon delivers an unforgettable symphony of rich caramel, bold oak, and warm spice directly from the barrel. Tasting Notes Nose: A powerful and complex bouquet that immediately announces its high proof and age. Rich caramel and vanilla are prominent, interwoven with deep oak spice, roasted nuts (pecan, almond), and a faint hint of dark chocolate. Underneath, a subtle fruitiness emerges – dried cherry or plum – along with a characteristic Beam peanut funk that adds depth. Palate: The palate is a magnificent explosion of flavor, coating the mouth with a viscous, chewy texture. Sweetness leads with intense caramel, maple syrup, and dark brown sugar, quickly balanced by a robust wave of rye spice, black pepper, and cinnamon. The oak influence is substantial but beautifully integrated, presenting as charred wood, leather, and a touch of tobacco. As it develops, notes of roasted corn, stone fruit compote, and a lingering nuttiness appear, all underpinned by a pleasant heat that never overwhelms. Finish: A long, warm, and exceptionally satisfying finish. The caramel and oak spice persist, evolving into a pleasant dryness with lingering notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and caramelized sugar. A subtle smokiness and a gentle heat caress the throat, inviting another sip. The Beam distinctive nuttiness provides a wonderfully complex and enduring farewell. About the Distillery Booker's Bourbon is named after Booker Noe, Jim Beam's grandson and 6th generation Master Distiller. It was originally a small-batch, uncut, and unfiltered bourbon he bottled for close friends and family, reflecting his personal preference for bourbons aged 'between six and eight years old.' It remains one of the few bourbons bottled straight from the barrel at its natural proof, honoring Booker's legacy and commitment to high-quality, full-flavor whiskey.
