The microorganisms that are in this bran are key in the bokashi composting process and will allow you to compost kitchen scraps faster and more effectively. Simply add to your Premium Bokashi Bin with your food scraps from the day and allow the bran to start working to prepare your compost. This premium bran is ready to ferment your food scraps into compost in no time at all. Each 2.2 lb. bag of Premium Bokashi Bran is enough to ferment 5 full kitchen composters. For an average family, this is about 3 to 4 months worth of food leftovers and scraps. Premium Bokashi Bran is also very good as a soil amender and general compost accelerator. Many people use it for just that! Simply dig into existing compost piles and add Premium Bokashi Bran to help re-invigorate them. This is especially popular during the colder winter months. With the addition of the Premium Bokashi Bran, life will quickly return to the compost pile, significantly speeding up activity and quality of compost. You’ll also see great results by adding it directly to the garden as a soil enhancer! Simply dig in and add half a cup of Premium Bokashi Bran (per cubic foot of soil) before planting in your garden or potting containers. The bokashi provides perfect conditions for plant root development. Loading the Bokashi Kitchen Composter:
